What time can I check-in?
Check-in is any time after 3:00 p.m. Prior to arrival you will receive a reminder email containing check-in details. Arrangements to drop off bags early are available. Early check-in can sometimes be arranged, please contact us in advance of your arrival.
What time is check-out?
Check-out is by 11:00 a.m. please, so that we can get the room ready for the next guests.
Are the food photos on the website really what you serve?
All of the breakfast pictures have been served to guests at the Inn. If you appreciate food photography, bring your camera to breakfast.
What does it mean that your breakfast ingredients are organic?
We cook with and eat organic food. We grow some produce at the inn; other produce, meats & dairy we get from local farms. All the oil, dairy, grains, sugar, produce & meats we serve are organic and many have been grown or raised on Cape Cod or in Massachusetts.
What time is breakfast served, what about coffee?
Brewed coffee & tea are available beginning at 8:15 a.m., breakfast is offered between 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. every morning. Keurig coffee & tea are available 24/7.
Is breakfast included in the price?
Your full, organic, Chef-prepared breakfast every morning is included in the price.
Can you accommodate special dietary needs?
With advanced notice, we do our best to accommodate dietary needs.

Where is Bluefish Bed & Breakfast located in Cape Cod?
Our central location is on a quiet side street in the Historic District of Harwich. We are an enjoyable mile and a half walk down Bank Street to Bank Street Beach and midpoint between Provincetown, the tip of the Cape, and Sandwich, the first town over the bridge. We are also a mile and a half from Route 6, the Cape’s highway.
How far is Bluefish Bed & Breakfast from:

Do I need a car for my Cape Cod vacation?
Our opinion is that having a car to explore Cape Cod makes your visit easier. In our area especially, we recommend a car. However, we also have watched guests enjoy a 3-day car-free vacation and truly appreciate a relaxing visit.
What can I walk to from the inn?
Our Things to Do page lists the places you will find within a short walk from the inn. A mile-and-a-half walk (or drive) gets you to the beach and Harwich Port where you will find restaurants and shopping.
Can you help me plan my visit?
Yes, we are happy to give advice about your visit. Please see our Events, Beaches & Activities pages that give ideas for your visit. Our Restaurant page lists a variety of eating options. If you need more information, please feel free to give us a call. And don’t forget, we often have great resources at the breakfast table with many repeat guests who can also point you in a good direction.
Is there free on-site parking?
Bluefish Bed & Breakfast has a parking area large enough for one car per room. If you will have more than one car, please make advanced arrangements with Lori.
Can we rent bikes nearby?
- Old Colony Bike Rentals is open seasonally and is a very quick walk from the inn.
- Dennis Cycle Center is a year-round bike shop located on the bike path in Dennis, about 4 miles from the inn.
The Bed & Breakfast
Do you recycle?
We recycle and compost. We also grow a lot of our own food and use rain barrels for watering.
Will my room be cleaned every day?
Upon request, we are happy to have your room cleaned every day.
Do the Innkeepers live at the Inn?
Yes, this is our (Lori’s and Tim’s) home, we live year round at Bluefish Bed & Breakfast.
Is one owner really a chef?
Yes, Tim is the Executive Chef of a popular Bistro in Chatham. He prepares breakfast every morning before leaving to the Bistro for the day.
Did one owner really grow up on Cape Cod?
Yes, Lori was born and raised in Brewster and still has family in the area.
